Land for Sale | Val Thorens | A buyer's guide
When you have specific requirements, finding your dream mountain property in Val Thorens can seem impossible. That is why some investors decide to purchase land in order to build their dream property.

Though finding a plot of land and building on it seems straightforward, there are many obstacles to overcome before you are relaxing in your new chalet. Firstly finding a suitable site for your development. Local real estate agents will have building land advertised, however in Val Thorens, it can be hard to find as it is in short supply. Another way to find a plot is to consult the local plan which will show what zones are designated for development. Please follow this link to see Val Thoren's Zoning.

If the area you wish to build on is not zoned for construction, you can make an application for a certificat d’urbanisme to the Mairie. This is not planning permission but can be seen as planning permission in principle on the basis that your architect designs plans that meet the local requirements.

We would always advise that if you purchase land, that the purchase is subject to you receiving planning permission on the site.

We are not estate agents or developers. However we work alongside a network of experienced agents and developers in Val Thorens
